IT. WAS. AWESOME!
Best book you’ve written yet.
Yes, it was a more complex story line but i had no trouble following it. I think your worry that it was above your skill set is unfounded. If you felt stretched and shaken, you certainly rose to the occasion. I did not feel any of it weak or lacking in strength of writing skill. I do think it the best you’ve written yet.
I laughed a little, cried a little and just couldn’t put it down. The bouncing through time set the stage for the end too. And the wolves, Butterfly and Nowl, talking to their human halves?! I think made it more poignant. I am anxious to learn if they teach others to do that. It could be another weapon in the arsenal against the evil one.
You absolutely had to start with Harlan’s surly anger and heartache-beyond-measure. How else could the fierce and equally brutal joy be felt at the end? And his sense of betrayal over Jaggar, what a way to set up Jaggar’s book. I cannot wait. I will have tissues ready.
And Troy! Oh thank you for letting him out of his wolf skin. I so want him and Trent to be well and happy. I think Troy’s story will be filled with all kinds of witticisms and can’t wait.
Those complainers are idiots that cannot appreciate something written above the 6th grade level. This was a grown up story. And you did a fantastic job. Your “gut”or whatever drives you to create in the way and depth that you did is right on target. Trust. It.
It was soooooo worth the wait!
