All about Kindle worlds-
OTM is getting it’s own kindle world. (LAUNCHING OCTOBER 10TH) I think I’m just now realizing what a big deal that is. Amazon contacted *me* and said, “We would like One True Mate to have it’s own Kindle World.” And what did I say? I said, “Sign me the F Up!” Because I’m such a little tiny fish. Itty. Bitty. Eenie. Weenie. fish in this huge pool of PNR and Romance books swimming around in the ocean that is Amazon books. I’m still blown away that they asked me.
So what does it mean? If you still aren’t even sure what Kindle Worlds are, read this. What is Kindle Worlds?
(basically, it’s amazon sanctioned fan fiction. Anyone can write an OTM story and have it published within the world)
3 big things you have to know from the get-go:
1. Amazon controls pricing of the other books based on length
2. The books can’t be in KU for now 🙁
3. Readers outside of the U.S. will have a harder time getting them because of copyright laws (my assumption) but we will have workarounds for you!
Interested in what authors will be writing stories in the OTM world? Here’s a list.
Stay tuned to this newsletter for more info as the launch draws closer!

I AM, however, listening to OTM1 on audio for the first time. I've probably read that book .... 11 or 12 times, not cuz I love it (in fact, I find more wrong with it every readthrough, lol) but because there were so many open threads left open that need to be addressed, and because I have to keep my tone straight, kwim? So anyway, I'm listening to OTM for the first time ever. I was supposed to listen to it to approve it, after Michael made it and before ACX put it up, and I didn't because it made me squeamish. I never realized why before, but after forcing myself to listen to it, I discovered it's because audio makes me, the author, look at my own books in a new and different way, so I see how I could have done things different (better) a lot more often than I do when I just re-read. That was painful for me for a long time!! But I'm over it now. Unrealistic for me to expect myself to write perfectly out of the gate. Sure, OTM1 was book... 23 or something, but, who's counting?? Ha! Kidding. I learn more with every book. Let me write another 10 or 12 and I'll be perfect. Ha! kidding again lol. Anyway, Michael Pauley did an amazing job. All those growly voices. Good lord, be still my lady flaps. Don't ask me what lady flaps are, I can't tell. I mean, I don't know. If you want to check it out, Audible is offering a 30 day free trial with a free credit for one book (otm1, otm1), whichever book you want (otm1). lol. snort. Bad author.
Thank you for being a reader! Until next time! Lisa
